The Parish Commission for the Family (KPF) at St Julians is a voluntary organization which was formed in 1998 by Fr Tony Aguis, then parish priest, when he contacted a small number of married couples and sent them to attend a course on marriage preparation with the intention to run courses for young engaged couples on the lines as approved by the Cana Movement. Following the appointment of Fr Martin Cardona as the new parish priest, he appointed these married couples who organized the Cana Marriage preparation courses to be the members of the newly set up Parish Commission for the Family (KPF) on the lines required by the Diocese at that time.
Since then and up to the present times, the KPF remained active in the area of voluntary work for families even under the subsequent parish priest Fr Ray Toledo and the current parish priest Fr Claude Portelli.
