  IMPORTANCE OF GROUPS BAPTISM

Persons who wish to Baptism their child are kindly asked to collect a Baptism Application Form from the Parish Office. The following documents are required:

Public Registry Birth Certificate
Godparents’ Permit from their Parish Priest
Parish Priest Permit if the couple resides outside St. Julians Parish

Before the Baptism Ceremony, the child’s parents are obliged to attend for two preparatory meetings, one at their residence and the other at the Parish Office. Every meeting takes about one hour. Both parents are to attend for these meetings and are kindly asked not to bring their child / children along with them for the above mentioned meetings.

Godparents Permits (for Baptism and Confirmation)
Anyone asked to be Godparent for either Baptism or Confirmation is asked to go personally to his / her Parish Priest. A declaration confirming that the said person is a practicing Catholic, and received the Sacraments of Confession and Communion regularly is signed. Godparents are to be over the age of 16 years.
